White wine

Pegoes Santo Isidro 2008, Portugal £5.95

A stunning example of Portugal's widest grown grape variety Fernao Pires. Delicious and inviting from the offset with aromas spiced pear, citrus fruits and rose petals. The palate is crisp and light with zesty fruit and floral character. Pegoes works well as an aperitif, with salads or matched with light fish dishes.

Soave Superiore Classico DOCG 2007, Italy £8.45

From the volcanic slopes of the Monte Grande in the municipality of Monteforte comes a wine full of finesse and charm. Made from 100% Garganega, this wine has been aged for one year in oak cask to accentuate the fruit and deliver a wine that truly tops its class. Light gold in colour with aromas of lightly grilled almonds, honey and lemon. Good depth on the palate with seamless integration between the oak and fruit characteristics, the finish is long and persistent indicating the quality of the wine.

Icely Road Riesling Orange 2008, Australia £11.45

Icely Road Riesling hails from Mayfield Vineyards within the cool climate wine region of Orange in New South Wales. Forget the bullish, high alcohol wines that are usually associated with Australia, Icely Road is subtle, elegant and full of charm. Pale straw in colour with youthful green tinges, this wine has a delightful bouquet incorporating a delicate blend of lemon, lime and orange blossom. The palate is full of honeyed lime flavours supported by mineral acidity and a fine long finish.
